3 Things to Expect when Moving into a Springpoint Life Plan Community

What to Expect When Moving into a CCRC

You did it. You made the decision to move to a senior living community. Congratulations! This first step – and in some cases the hardest step – is now complete, and it’s time to enjoy all that retirement has to offer in your new home.

But wait – let’s pause. While moving to a new community is exciting, it can also be intimidating. In this post we’ll share what it’s like to move

Your New Life Plan Community: Welcome Home

Moving to a new home is hard work, whether you have support from family and friends or not. What’s not hard, however, is settling into a Springpoint Life Plan community. Here are three things you can look forward to during your early days with us:

1. A Heartfelt Welcome from Our Staff

We understand what it’s like to be the new person on the block. Of course, you’re looking forward to making new friends, but you’re also unsure about how to start. That’s where we come in. Regardless of which Springpoint community you call home, you can count on the members of our friendly staff to roll out the red carpet for you. They will take time to get to know you and introduce you to other residents.

Your friends and family will be visiting often. At Springpoint Senior Living, children and grandchildren are frequent guests who love visiting for meals, activities, or special occasions. Introduce them to our staff who will increasingly become a big part of your life.  We can’t wait to get to know those who are most important to you!

2. Fun Activities and Events

Events and activities happen daily at our Life Plan communities, and attending one is the perfect way to get involved, meet your new neighbors, our staff, and even make new friends. Our LivWell coordinator and Activities team will introduce you to the wide variety of clubs and programs that we offer and help you connect. If we don’t offer something that you’re interested in, our staff is always ready to help you organize an activity or club – just let us know your interests. No matter how you like to have fun – weekly card games, the arts, fitness classes, educational seminars or just shooting a competitive game of pool – you’ll develop incredible relationships that will enhance your personal growth.

3. A Sense of Peace and Belonging

It’s normal to need time to get used to a major life change. You will be surrounded by neighbors who have made the same transition and are willing to lend an ear or share a meal to help welcome you into the community. So, at the end of your first day at a Springpoint Life Plan community, sit back and relax. From this day forward, you no longer have to worry about the burden of home ownership or making meals. You can spend your days doing what you’d like, surrounded by a friendly and attentive staff and fellow residents who are eager to make your acquaintance. It won’t be long before you’ll feel right at home!

Your early days at any senior living community will be both exciting and maybe a little exhausting. But they will be the first page of a new chapter filled with, more free time, more happy memories and less stress.
