Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
As CEO of Springpoint, one of my primary goals is to ensure that Springpoint offers exceptional services and innovative programs that empower those we serve and those who serve them to experience the best that life has to offer. The Springpoint Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiative is an important part of that vision.
Our first step towards this initiative was to form an employee DEI committee, a resident DEI committee and working groups that include marketing and an employee advocate group. The resident DEI committee members are working collaboratively with LivWell staff and other community residents to strengthen the culture of diversity and inclusion. Together the employees and residents are identifying opportunities where Springpoint can have a substantial impact on the DEI landscape. The discussions and collaborations that result from these groups will help to guide Springpoint’s DEI efforts for the future.
Our DEI initiative supports a culture where an individual’s unique qualities and life experiences are valued and celebrated. The moment you join the Springpoint family, you give us the gift of your wisdom and unique perspective which allows us to continue providing innovative services and programs. We are committed to providing you with a workplace environment that supports and values you as an individual.
Understanding the importance of workplace flexibility, I have authorized a revision to the holiday policy to create a Floating Holiday program. This will give you the ability to choose what holidays and days of relevance you would like to observe.
Along the same lines, our new email policy will provide the option to add preferred pronouns to Springpoint email signatures. This effort is intended to support gender inclusivity in the workplace and allow each of you to communicate how you would prefer to self-identify. We have also partnered with SAGECare, a national advocacy and services organization, to provide ongoing training and consulting on LGBT aging issues. Members of our HR department and senior leadership team have already begun to take advantage of these resources and will use them to engage in complex conversations surrounding diversity and inclusion.

Personally, I have taken the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion pledge, the largest CEO driven business commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion within the workspace. Along with 2,000 other CEOs from around the country, I have made the pledge to create a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable workforce. Being part of this group, provides me the opportunity to learn and share best practices with other CEOs from around the world. I will use the insights I gain from those interactions to drive measurable action and meaningful change throughout our organization. I am excited about the positive impact our DEI initiative will have on our entire Springpoint family. Thank you for your ongoing support and feedback as we all work together to transform our organization from great to exceptional.
