Springpoint and Parker Health Group receive Excellence in Innovation Award from LeadingAge for Affordable Housing Wellness Initiative

Springpoint and Parker Health Group received the Excellence in Innovation award from LeadingAge New Jersey & Delaware for their groundbreaking Affordable Housing Wellness Initiative. This joint initiative introduced affordable housing residents to LivWell, Springpoint’s award-winning wellness program.
Launched in 2021 by the Springpoint Foundation with support from Parker Health Group, this wellness initiative focuses on residents’ physical, intellectual, emotional, and social well-being. Initially created as a three-year pilot program, residents from four Springpoint affordable housing communities gained access to Springpoint’s LivWell program.
Recognized for its innovation by LeadingAge NJ, LivWell provides residents the opportunity to engage in experiences that support a high quality of life, personal choice, lifelong development, and an optimal sense of well-being. Prior to this initiative, only residents of Springpoint Life Plan Communities could take advantage of the LivWell program benefits.
LeadingAge New Jersey & Delaware presented the award during a “celebrating excellence in aging services” ceremony in February. The award is given annually and recognizes innovative best practice programs or services that promote and enhance quality of life for senior residents, staff, and/or the surrounding community.
“This award recognizes the commitment and dedication of those team members from Springpoint and Parker Health Group who continuously work to bring innovative services and experiences to our residents,” said Springpoint CEO Anthony Argondizza. “More residents are gaining confidence, forming friendships, and discovering new passions through this bold initiative, all while improving their overall quality of life.”
Accepting the award on behalf of Springpoint and Parker Health Group was Judy Collett-Miller, Director of Planning and Administration at Parker, Amanda Oberg, Springpoint’s LivWell Program Manager for Affordable Housing, and Michael Oakes, Chief Philanthropy Officer of the Springpoint Foundation (pictured above with James McCracken, CEO of LeadingAge New Jersey & Delaware).
Due to its ongoing impact and success, Parker Health Group renewed its partnership with Springpoint in 2024 and expanded the initiative to four additional communities. With over 140 residents currently enrolled, the goal is to eventually serve all 19 Springpoint affordable housing communities throughout New Jersey.
The Affordable Housing Initiative reflects the commitment of both Springpoint and Parker Health Group to ensure that all residents have access to resources that enhance their overall health. With plans for continued growth and innovation, this initiative exemplifies how dedicated partnerships can drive positive change and improve the quality of life for older adults.
