Your Life, Your Journey, Your Choice: Springpoint Choice
For some, there’s no other option than to stay in their long-term homes once retirement hits. In fact, almost 90 percent of American seniors age 65 and better want to stay in their current homes and communities as they age, according to an AARP study. This concept is known as “aging in place,” a senior living option that offers the opportunity for older adults to remain in their homes for as long as possible.
There are numerous advantages to aging in place for seniors and their families. However, there are also some important factors to consider in this decision. What if your health situation changes and you need additional senior care services? Sure, you can purchase a long-term care insurance plan, but typically you won’t benefit from it at all until something happens. Plus, there may be limitations and restrictions to your coverage and the benefits you’ll receive.
That’s why we at Springpoint have created a continuing care at home program, Springpoint Choice. Continuing care at home programs, sometimes referred to as “CCRCs without walls,” offer a strong option if you wish to age in place in your current residence, but also want to plan in advance for potential long-term care needs. One huge advantage of continuing care at home is that you can use it as an additional layer of stability on top of an existing policy, or as a stand-alone alternative to long-term care insurance.
Planning for Future Healthcare Needs
Springpoint Choice members are paired with personal care navigators dedicated to providing the one-on-one attention that could help you age in place and remain at home longer. In many ways, your care navigator becomes an extension of your family, getting to know you, your loved ones and what is important to you. Their goal is simple – to be there for you and your family when you need our support.
While at least one face-to-face meeting with your care navigator is required annually, even when you are healthy, ongoing contact will be tailored to your wishes and the recommendation of your care navigator. Springpoint Choice members love the peace of mind that comes with having an outside expert opinion. If your care navigator sees a cause for alarm, you can count on them to be ready with a plan before it escalates.
If at some point you need rehabilitative care or a more permanent skilled nursing or memory care living arrangement, you can choose from the services offered by our unique continuing care retirement communities. This gives you the flexibility to select a location near your current home or, if your family lives in a different area, to find a location near them. And, if you ever need to relocate outside of the Springpoint service area, we’ll work with you to make arrangements outside of New Jersey or Delaware.
As a Bonus: Access to Resort-Like Amenities
One of the most obvious advantages of Springpoint Choice compared to similar products from other senior living communities is the unprecedented freedom to choose from eight senior living communities offering high-end amenities throughout New Jersey and Delaware. So not only are you gaining peace of mind that future healthcare needs will be met, but you’ll also enjoy amenities and services designed to help you lead a vibrant lifestyle.
As a member, you’re free to take advantage of the amenities we have to offer whenever you want. Stop by to enjoy restaurant-style dining, swim a few laps in our pools or come for an enriching art class. Plus, members are invited to participate in our award-winning LivWell program, with opportunities for a variety of social, wellness and community activities to ensure you continue living your best life.
