Springpoint Communities Honor Veterans Day
In honor of Veterans Day (November 11), several residents and team members from throughout the Springpoint community came together to recognize and celebrate those who served.
Winchester Gardens hosted a touching ceremony filled with song, dedication, and remembrance, where over 50 resident veterans were honored. Springpoint COO and fellow veteran David Woodward was in attendance, along with Executive Director Susan Lippy, who shared welcoming remarks. At Allaire Crossing, a Springpoint affordable housing community, resident veteran Shelly Huber shared stories about his time in the Navy and presented interesting facts about Veterans Day. Resident veterans at the Butler Senior Community, another Springpoint affordable housing community, exchanged memories and sang patriot tunes over coffee and cake.
At The Oaks at Denville, residents helped place American fags along the main road. Attendees then moved indoors, where a beautiful ceremony was held to recognize and honor resident veterans. Similar celebrations were also hosted at Crestwood Manor, Monroe Village, and Stonebridge at Montgomery.
Village Point Rehabilitation & Healthcare partnered with Embracing Hospice Care for an intimate ceremony that included a pinning for veteran residents. Village Point’s Director of Rehabilitation Jessica Mennella performed some patriotic songs while residents enjoyed coffee and cake.
Springpoint is proud to recognize so many of our own residents and staff who have honorably served in the United States Armed Forces. It is a true privilege to pay tribute to them and their families. The events at these Springpoint communities are just a few outstanding examples of the many Veterans Day programs that were held throughout the week.
