Wall Township, N.J. – December 21, 2021 – U.S. News and World Report evaluated over 15,000 nursing homes nationally to help people find the highest standards of care. In New Jersey there are 358 nursing homes, of these, 67 received the highest overall rating of 5 out of 5 which includes a short-term rehabilitation rating of High Performing, and a long-term care rating of High Performing. Both ratings consider comprehensive measures including registered nurse staffing and ratios, physical therapist staffing, fall prevention, discharge rates, prevention of pressure ulcers, ability of residents to self-care, emergency room visits, hospitalizations, rate of substantiated complaints and flu vaccinations.
Among the elite to receive the highest overall ratings of 5 out of 5 are Springpoint Life Plan Communities The Atrium at Navesink Harbor which offers a continuum of care including independent living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation; The Oaks at Denville which offers a continuum of care including independent living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation; Stonebridge at Montgomery which offers a continuum of care including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation; and Village Point Rehabilitation and Healthcare a Springpoint community that offers rehabilitation care, long-term care, and memory care.
Additionally, Springpoint Life Plan Communities Crestwood Manor that offers independent living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation; and Meadow Lakes that offers independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care and rehabilitation, received overall ratings of 4 out of 5.
The independent survey was conducted during the COVID-19 Pandemic which affirms the work excellence of Springpoint’s clinical staff and rehabilitation teams. U.S. News does not give a Resident Safety rating; however, vaccination rates were relevant to the overall ratings with Springpoint vaccination percentages for the 5 out of 5 rated communities above state and national averages.
