Celebrating donors. Enriching our community.

Springpoint and Parker Health Group recently received the Excellence in Innovation award from LeadingAge New Jersey & Delaware for their groundbreaking Affordable Housing Wellness Initiative. Thanks to support from the Springpoint Foundation, this joint initiative introduced affordable housing residents to LivWell, Springpoint’s award-winning wellness program, which focuses on physical, intellectual, emotional, and social well-being.

Initially created as a three-year pilot program, residents from four Springpoint affordable housing communities gained access to Springpoint’s LivWell program. Due to its ongoing impact and success, this partnership was renewed in 2024 and expanded to four additional communities. With over 140 residents currently enrolled, the goal is to eventually serve all 19 Springpoint affordable housing communities throughout the state.

LeadingAge NJ & DE presented the award during a “celebrating excellence in aging services” ceremony in February. The award is given annually and recognizes innovative best practice programs or services that promote and enhance quality of life for senior residents, staff, and/or the surrounding community.

Residents of Asbury Tower, a Springpoint affordable housing community, recently took part in a fresh produce distribution and cooking demonstration, thanks to a generous gift from Getty Realty Corp. The event was supported through the Springpoint Foundation’s Community Cares program. Springpoint CEO Anthony Argondizza was also in attendance.

Activities included a fresh produce distribution, a healthy cooking demonstration presented by Morrison Living (featuring a delicious pasta primavera lunch), and several gift card raffles. Throughout the day, residents were encouraged to keep meals “nutritious and delicious” while on a budget.

Mark Olear, COO of Getty Realty and Vice-Chair of the Springpoint Board of Trustees, nominated the Foundation through the company’s Getty Gives program, specifically for its efforts involving affordable housing support. The gift was then delegated to Asbury Tower,  located in Monmouth County with occupancy of over 340 residents.

Foundation Day is an annual event held at Springpoint Life Plan Communities to celebrate the generosity and kindness of our resident donors. Their contributions support several important Springpoint Foundation programs and services, including the Springpoint Strong Fund, Resident Financial Assistance Fund, Spiritual Care, Tomorrow’s Leaders, and Affordable Housing.

These events exemplify a true sense of community, with attendees being celebrated with delectable tastings while enjoying conversation and camaraderie with fellow givers and Foundation staff.

We’re honored to celebrate our donor residents who help fulfill the Springpoint Foundation mission – to inspire generosity in support of programs and services that make a difference in people’s lives and enrich the communities where they live.

Members of the Plainfield Police Department and Plainfield Fire Department visited Plainfield Tower West, a Springpoint affordable housing community, as part of the Senior Safety Summit Week. Plainfield Mayor Adrian Mapp and Councilman Charles McRae spoke about their commitment to supporting residents and fostering a thriving community.

During this interactive week of community engagement, city officials and representatives from the police and fire departments provide senior residents of Plainfield useful safety tips, from health and wellness to crime awareness and fire prevention.

Thanks to the generosity of the Coster Family and the Springpoint Foundation, residents received fresh produce with assistance from the Plainfield Police Department. Special thanks to Cindy Deevy, a Springpoint Foundation Board Trustee, for her lunch donation during the event.
